2004 X break upgrades
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Frank and I reside in Miami. In March I purchaced a 2004 X 4x4 limited. I am very please with my X. As in all of my vehichiles I feel compelled to modify it to suit my needs and desires. I am looking for the BEST break upgrade available. I am changing the wheels to 20's.

Try a search; I think there's only one company that makes replacement (upgraded) rotors, it's ARB(ARP?), something like that. Everyone seems to like them, as they resist warpage better than the factory units, and they will help you stop better when you make the trip to dub-land

I am looking for larger rotors and calipers. Much more highend than stock. Something along the lines of Baer or Brembo Brakes.

Brembo is showing Not Yet Available for Excursion, however they do have a part number for Superduties. The site did not show a pic however, so I can't tell if it's actually larger than stock.

Edit: Tire rack is showing no applications for an 04 eX, but a search on an 01 model yielded:

Not sure if there is a difference in brakes from 01 to 04, but worth a look.

Art rotors are avaialble for the Ex...
and MANY are pleased with them - they are cryogenically treated slotted rotors...

someone stated they paid 585.00 for 4 rotors and PF Carbon Metallic Pads. there can be a long lead time
You might also consider EGR rotors or Carolina Clutch rotors. PF also makes rotors.
