Help Identifying part??

What is the part called that bolts to the end of the exaust manifold on the drivers side between the manifold and the exaust pipe...Im guessing some sort of an emissions part has some sort of a vacuum thing bolted to one side . also has a donut gasket where the exaust pipe mounts to it...
Im trying to find a replacement but dont know what to ask for ....any help ???

This is an 85 F150 4x4 351W

When you go to the parts store, ask if you can look at the detail parts guide. Tell them I can show you better than I can tell you.....

It could very well be an heat riser valve: A control valve between the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe on one side of a V8 or V6 engine that restricts the flow of exhaust causing it to flow back through the heat riser channel under the intake manifold. This aids fuel evaporation and speeds engine warm up. A heat riser valve stuck open will slow engine warm-up and may cause hesitation and stalling when the engine is cold. A valve stuck in the closed position will greatly restrict the exhaust system and cause a noticeable lack of power and drop in fuel economy.
