Getting my Ultra Trail-Eze II wing mounted on my F350 duallie was a real pain till I hit on this solution. The mounting hardware is permanently installed on the truck and is a well designed system. Getting the wing into the truck and onto the two mounting bolts was more than my wife and I could handle. After putting a couple of nasty scratches in the side of the truck when the wing got away from us I had given up its use. Faced with a 3,000 mile trek I came up with this mounting method.
I used a 4' X 8' X 3/4" piece of plywood and followed this proceedure:
1. Put the plywood against the lowered tailgate, one end on the ground.
2. Put the wing upside down on the plywood.
3. Slide the plywood and wing into the truck bed so the front edge of the plywood rests on the front edge of the bed and the hitch provides a 3rd point for balance.
4. Rotate and flip the hitch so the mounting brackets line up with the mounting bolts. Tighten the nuts and the job is done.
You still have to be careful in manuvering the wing into place but I can now do the job by myself with a lot less difficulty.
