Angry old man Larry

I am now going on the third week of not having my truck because it is at the dealership with a blown engine. I was bringing my family and 30 ft. trailer home from vacation in Port Huron, when the engine chugged then a pop and lots of steam. The truck is at Port Huron Northgate Ford. They havn't touched it yet. I have talked to Ford Motor several times Nothing has helped. Can anyone give me some advice for what I can do. I am 62 , not mechanically inclined and very upset. One of the reasons I bought a Ford was because they were so reliable. I have a F250 Super Duty Diesel 2003. Help!!!!!! Old Man Larry

Larry that is awful! Sorry.

Did the dealer give you any idea of what the plan (or timeline) is going to be for repairs? They should at least be able to give you some feedback as to what the process is. If they cannot define the steps that they are going to take for you then it maybe worth your while to get it towed out of there and back to the dealer of purchase.

Sit tight on this. Lots of people on here will be chiming in with suggestions and quite possibly the contact information for the right people at Ford to get this ball moving.

Hang in there!

More than likely Ford is trying to figure out how to make you pay. Keeptrack of all your records and note any contact times, dates and who you spoke with. You might as well start preping for the worst because Ford has be going down hill when it comes to Warranty issues as of late.

Old man Larry,
Start raising all kinds of CANE about needing a rent a car. And you should demand they pay. Call 4 or 5 times a day until they either get your truck going. Remember the squeeky wheel gets the oil. If they get you a rent a car things will start going very fast on your truck since they won't want to pay for a rental vehicle too long. Many stealerships are going to outside sources for rental units because of liability issues. Remember bug the FUNK out of your service rep. He will get things going one way or another. Just to get rid of ya. GOOD LUCK!!!
