3.0 question

were the 3.0 ever carbed, or just fuel injection?
I'm looking at one and don't know the year yet, it has the 8th digit U so that's a 3.0 right?

also what trans is likely bolted to this engine

Hi Scott and welcome to the forum

The 3.0 was only fuel injected as far I know.
Yes a U means it's a 3.0.
It will have an A4LD transmission.
