My F350 SD originally went into the shop for a leveling kit, Bilstine shocks, Weld wheels, ProComp AT tires, etc. According to the shop, they were going to install a Donahoe system but after ripping off the front end, they eventually figured out that you can't install a Donahoe system on a truck that also has a Western Unimount on there as well (I tried to tell them that - but they know better).
Anyway, they have now suggested that I put full springs on the front end of the truck and have suggested ProComp springs. I don't know anything about ProComp suspension systems and I am concerned about the quality of the ride and the product. I'm hoping the forum can give me some advice. Here are my questions:
What is your opinion of ProComp suspensions & srings?
Will the ride be much worse using Springs vs. the Donahoe system? If so, will the Bilsteins help at all?
Although it is probably a little late in the game, are there other options available to me? If so, what are they?
So far, this shop has turned a day and a half job into a week long project and all I want is my truck back - but I don't want it back with a load of crap on it either.
Any help and advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

You will get alot of opinions on this but here is mine. I went with the 4" pro comp kit w/ shocks and really wish I wouldn't have. The ride is very harsh and rough, to me anyway. I plan on installing the bilstien shocks soon as I can I have read they are one of the best shocks out there and will help the ride alot.. Since this is the only set up I have used I can't recommend another set up that I have experience with. But for me I will never use a pro comp system again. Trying to save a few $$$ is the original reason I used them. But like everything else out there some people like them I'm sure. Good luck..
