Angry 96 inline 4.9L studdering, viberation, no power

Hey, guys I'm new here, lastnight I found the EGR Restrictor Plate post and I'm hoping this will cure my dad's truck. It's a 96' inline 6, we took it to the junkyard yesterday to get some parts for another car and I had never really rode in the truck until then. Man that truck bearly had enough power to climb hills on the highway, it shakes and hesitates. To me it was making alot of noise like it was missing, so of course my first thought is plugs, wires, coil. Then I searched your forum and came up with the EGR Restrictor Plate. Does anyone have pictures of this install/mod I mean it sounds simple enough but a few pictures would help. And in any of your opinions would this be a good fix for the truck? Oh the truck has 147,xxx miles on it....it's my dad's daily driver and I don't like the feeling of him having to drive a truck that can't get out of it's own way.

Thanks a bunch

Chris

It is a simple mod pull the green vac line of the egr (you will get a CEL) and drive it like that if that takes care of the miss then a egr plate will work. If not check for vac leaks fuel filter plug cap rotor wires.
