electric choke

Question electric choke

I put an 86 351HO in my 83 F-150,it had the six.I want to know how to get the electric choke on the holley to work?where do I get power from???

on my alt there is a stud that my choke gets power from orginaly from the factory, but any key on power should work fine

That may not be true. When I measured voltage to the choke I seem to remember that it took 7.5V. A different voltage could wack out the choke fast? Don't really know.

The choke connects to the stator terminal marked with an "S" on the back of the alternator. Whatever the actual voltage is will be fine for working the choke. Connect it with confidence.
