Just painted my wheels!

It's amazing what a little time, effort and a bit of paint can do to a set of stock 99 F150 wheels. The stock ones look nice....but after painting the oval shapes the wheels suddenly jump out at you. Check my album....the last two pictures are the latest. I've been wanting to do that for a long time...but it took a while to get up the courage to toss paint on and wonder if I was going to blow it. I wish I'd have done it sooner.

I agree, what type of paint did you use?

Well, after sanding the original finish..which I might add was a real pain in the patoot and tedious as all get out... I used nothing but the best! LOL. Rustoleum Satin Black enamel. I used foam brushes, laid on my side and painted & wiped off excess that didn't want to stay within the confines of the factory oval shapes. They still need to be cleaned up a tad but all in all I think the effort was worth it. Makes the stock wheels look aftermarket and really stand out better than the stock did.

Of course, a person with any sense probably would have masked them off and sprayed them, but either way would have been pretty time consuming.

Thanks for the compliments.
