Intercooler Flush?

Is this a scam or could the psd ic really get clogged with oil? I have installed a used eclipse ic on a subaru before, and when i rinsed it with gasoline a ton of oil came out. Can this happen with the psd and is there any way to mitigate the damaging effects? ex. an ic flush?

That's the first time I've seen a kit - but yes it is a real mod that many here have done. Do a search for CCV Mod or just CCV and you should come up with some more info. It's an emission thing from Ford and yes a film of oil is always working its way through the intercooler and ic pipes - as far as it getting clogged up - I would think you'd need something to stick to the oil for it to clog - (dust getting through the air filter) but see what info you can find with a search. I've never heard/read about a clogged intercooler.

Rerouting the crankcase vent is a good idea for several reasons.
Aesthetically it will eliminate the oily mess that builds up on the intercooler and intake boots. Functionally, removing an intake restriction is never a bad idea, and the intake air temps will be marginally lower without the crankcase gasses.
The charge air cooler on the PSD will likely never completely clog up, but the oil coating on the aluminum will form a thermal barrier to the air and reduce the coolers efficiency somewhat. It can be cleaned and flushed with nothing more than soap and water. Make sure to to get it drained and completely dried before you feed the engine through it.
I rereouted my crankcase vent years before that kit was available, but I did get one of the colored intake tubes from that seller.
