aight, got my truck back, as i posted already. installed 6" lift at full throttle suspension....
driving it i noticed a coupla clunks when going over slightly bumpy spots in road. feels like it is right under left foot, in front of brake pedal area...
i checked the front U-bolts, i was able to turn each one about ~5-10 times each using my impact wrench...seemed like they should have been tighter. pulled the left shock off, test drove to make sure it was not in that...no change, just got bouncier
on some roads it is a constant noise, you can feel it, but it is irregular in interval...if that makes sense, so it is not a rotating part....but highly agrivating
ohh, also had to grind off about 1/4" of the track bar bracket, as the pitman arm was hitting it, and it caused a little gouge in the arm....
tried to tighten the rear leaf spring bolts, and shackle bolts, but my impact gun wont even budge them, they seem tight....
any ideas on what the cause could be??? i know, kinda vague without seeing truck and experiencing this, but maybe someone has had the same issue after a lift?
truck nothing like this whatsoever prior to lift install.....
As they mentioned check the torque on all the suspension components that were replaced with a torque wrench (not an impact).......the trac bar is a bit high (369 ft/lbs seems to stick in my head).
mattsf250, Other than the install problems, how do you like the lift? I just installed the 4" kit on my 250, and it really rides very well. So far I'm pleased with the full traction lift. Whats your thoughts on it?
i love it.
it actually rides BETTER in some situations, like washboard freeway sections...assuming you have the shocks set on # 7 or higher.....did not lose one bit of handling. front leaves are 8 leaf units. the trac bar bracket is positively MASSIVE.... and the trac bar lined right up. ride height is the same on both sides, and the truck does not pull left or right one iota.
btw, it is full throttle suspension....not full traction.

aside from leaving one sway bar end link not tight enough....and not torquing the front u bolts quite enough (and maybe they loosened once i drove it 150 miles home??), i am VERY pleased with FTS.
