Holley 4180

1987 f250 5.8 holley 4180 carb, when the truck is cold and under hard acceleration when I take my foot off the gas it backfires out the exhaust, even exploded 2 muffelers so far. it does not do this when truck is fully warmed up and only does it after full throtle. any ideas?

Yep, I'd say you may have a stuck power valve. Sounds like you are dumping raw fuel into the mufflers. Also....Check your float levels, see if one is stuck.
