This is my first post and I hope someone can help me. I have a 1998 F-150 and I am tring to replace the factory radio with an aftermarket one. I have the wiring harness to match up to. I go to hook everything up and no power. Put the factory radio back in and no power. All fuses are still good. Is there an anti theift button or something? Any respones would be great.
Hi and welcome to FTE
There are 2 fuses for the radio in your truck, one under the hood and one under the dash. I would check all the fuses with a test light to make sure they are good.
Is it possible that you pulled a pin out of the connector on the back of the radio?
I've experienced the pin dropping within the radio as well, not with this particular truck radio style, though. I figure that could happen as well. Check the pin alignments.
