Reason: needs more wording
I have an 88 f350 CC LB that does the same thing. I sent it to the Firestone place down the road from the office to get it fixed. They replaced a drag link and two tie rod ends charged me over $300 and it is still doing it. Drives nice in forward no camber problems but back up just a few feet and it look bad, like this /----\. I think we have the same problem....
Have you checked your pivot arm?? bushigs, the ones under the motor that holts the axle in place? if not the only other thing i can think of is springs.
I think it is pretty common, my 90 F250 does it also. I think it's because of the independant front suspension. Front wheels are slightly towed in, so when you back up it makes each tire try to pull away and forces down on the springs causing the / \. Not sure about the F350, shouldn't that be a straight axle?
It's because the radius arms are not designed to be strong going backward...they're designed to be strong when pushed upon (going forward). It's normal, dont' wrory about it mine does it too.
Yeah mine probly dose and i just dont notice, its just like when your stoped and turn hard one way and the front tips, and an f-350, it would be a straight axle with leaf springs, unless its 2 wheel drive. hen it would have the ifs i think,
