I'm having acouple of problems with my truck. It is an 89 F150 4x4 5spd w/302. I have two vibrations in it. One is at 65-72 mph that comes and goes, I have had this one for awhile and believe I have a rim not true. The other vibration I just got. It seems to be rpm related and makes a lot of noise, sound like something rattling. This one comes and goes but is getting worse. When these two vibration happen together it is not a good site. Also my RPM's hang when I let of the gas slowly and have to goose it to get them to drop, sometimes it takes a few tries. I took apart the linkage on the intake and cleaned and lubbed it because the gas pedal was sticking down hoping that was my problem and it was only one of them. I just installed a new trans. I went from a mazda to a zf. I also replace the flywheel, clutch, throw out bearing, slave, u-joints and gave the truck a tune up. I have not put the front drive shaft back in it yet either. My truck was sitting in my garage for 3 months also for the trans installation. Also when I started my truck the first couple of times after installing the trans it sounded like the throw out bearing was making noise but that noise went away. I never have had that happen before and I'm wonder if the clutch or throw out bearing is diffected. I'm leaving for Ky on monday with the truck and would like to get this vibration fixed before I go. Any ideas on what it could be.
Two years ago I had a new rear driveshaft made. The guy used my origanil yokes and slip joint. He welded it on the balancer so there is no weights to throw.
