98 Expedition Blend Door Suspected (Solution)
The original problem was heat in the back, but cold air being blown in the front.
A friend of mine had all of the symptoms of a blend door problem on his expedition, after receiving the $1200 plus estimate we ran through the self diagnostics which we found here. After they had passed the test he took it to a local shop. They tested the system and told him it looked like a plugged heater core. They power flushed the system, about $200 after the diag and flush, and everything was like new.
I just wanted to pass this on as something to look at if you have the same symptoms. Thanks to everyone who helped us with this problem!
