Another squeak noise....98 expy
Ok, time for a new noise in the truck, after all it is a new week....
This one sounds almost like a rubber noise. Usually occurs when slowing down and coming to a stop. Below about 35 MPH, and I think it might be the right front area. Does not seem to change if brakes are/aren't applied. Does change pitch with speed (i.e. slower speed, lower tone to it).
My first thought was that a seal was not seated right....but the truck just made it 850 miles to South Carolina and back again with no issues at all. Recent work includes an alignment, tire rotation and lower ball joint replacement.
For the record, its a 98 Expy XLT, 78K, 4.6, 4x4.
Gettin ready to soak the whole front end in lube....
