I have a question. I am getting ready to drop in a newly rebuilt 390 into a fully rebuilt and painted chassis for my 73 F100 2wd. I have brought this baby back from the grave and I need some exhaust system advice.
Should I use headers or stock manifolds? If headers - who is the best choice? What type of coating? Will this cause me more problems?
Also, where the heck do you find an exhaust system? Also, I'd like to use 3 inch pipe. Is this a bad idea?
I'd say 2.5" will be good, Not sure about where you can get headers but the exaust can be done at any shop, look for a smaller one though as you will usually get better service and mabey a bit lower pricing.
id go with the competition hooker headers there pretty pricy but for the money itll be well worth it id go with a 2.5 in pipe into a delta flow 40 flowmaster then shed be soundin right
