360 to inline 6 swap

360 to inline 6 swap
Taking a 360 out of a 74 f250 and putting in a 300 I6. All i have left to figure out is the mating of the eingine to the tranny. the I6 has a 3 on the tree (all the info i have right now) and the 360 has a NP435. will the bell housing for the I6 bolt on to the NP435? I have been told by some people it will work and some people it won't work. Will the bell housing from the 360 bolt on to the I6? Help!

You will need the bell housing for the I6, it is different than the 360. I would "believe" you can bolt the NP435 tranny to the I6 bell housing, but then again, I haven't delt much with the manuals...
