302 Intake Manifold

Let me start by apologizing for posting this thread twice, I am a new member and posted it in the wrong forum the first time. Anyways, I own a 1994 f-150 4x4 with a 302 and E4OD Automatic Transmission. The truck has a Cobra upper and Lower Intake Manfold on it (Offset circular ports). The truck puts out great power at higher rpm; however, I would like to get more low end power and throttle response. It has a stock cam and Heads. The truck also has a 3.55 rear end. What would be the most bang for the buck? Is it worth tampering with the motor or would money be better speant on a set of 4.10 gears. Any other suggetions on making the most of the Cobra Intake?

Thanks for any suggestions

Hello there, well re-gearing a 4x4 is going to be big bucks like in the 800-1000 dollar range but going to 4.10's will help your low end tremendously. Almost any engine modification that increases airflow will take away from low end power but if yoy haven't done this yet I would consider some good headers and exhaust to compliment the Cobra intake. Some GT40 heads and an RV style cam would be nice too. You could do the GT40's, cam, headers and exhaust for around 1500 bucks if you install the heads and cam yourself and have a very strong running engine.
