Incentives

To get the generous incentives, do you have to take a vehicle from inventory or can you order one and still qualify?

if you are looking at the incentives on an 04 it might be too late to order an 04, or at least close to the end date as they are taking orders for 05's now. Any dealer has to give you the incentives from FoMoCo on an order, its the dealer's perogative about any of "their" incentives.

Ford says rebates apply to in-stock vehicles; if you've ordered a truck, it's considered "in-stock" once it leaves the plant. So, Ford's policy is you get the rebate that's in effect when you take delivery, not when you ordered it. My dealership's policy is to guarantee the rebate that's in effect at the time of order. If it goes down, we make up the difference. If it goes up, you get the higher rebate. Bu that's our own policy- most dealers will not do this.
