O.K. How the @#&& do you get this *$^! thing off ? I've tried the "rock it gently from side to side while pulling up" approach with no luck. These injectors are so close together at opposing angles I don't see how the injector rail is supposed to come off.
Unless this thing is supposed to come off as a single unit injectors and all, there is something I'm missing. Or you just pull like @#&&.
Hate to sound like an *********, but did you pop off the clips that keep the injectors locked on to the fuel rail? I missed those the first time I tried to pull the injectors off when replacing mine.
Hey no problem, and yes I did remove the clips. I finally gave up and took it to the machine shop with the block. The machinist had the same reaction I did. This thing should just pull off but it won't. Supposed to give him a call back today.
Maybe try some silicone spray and alot of wiggling back and forth. They may work loose. WD-40 may make the o-rings swell up and make things even harder.
Oh, and I found Vaseline is excellent for lubing the 0-rings when re-installing the injectors.
EDIT:
I know I'm going to hear some crude jokes about me, Vaseline, and "slipping the injectors in" and whatnot. Go for it. I've heard them all.
