Camber/Caster Kit
Well in reading some previous posts here it seems like this is true if you are going to adjust the front end caster on the Expy. I find that very strange that Ford would make a front end that could not be adjusted without an add-on kit. But I'm still not sold on the fact that I need the alignment adjusted.
My print-out shows a caster of 5.5° left and 6.6° right for a cross caster of -1.1°. In a previous post the specs were:
Caster 6.1° ± 1.0° 6.6° ± 1.0° -0.5° split ± 0.7°
If I read this right my left side is within spec, but the split or cross caster is outside of the limit. The truck does not pull and there was no evidence of uneven wear on the old tires. So do I really need to drop the 2 bills right now? Any suggestions would be welcome.
BTW on the tires I went with the Destination LE's. I wanted the Michlens, but at $72 each my budget meter favored the Firestones. They ride great so far.
Thanks
Hey Dilliw, do you have a Tire Kingdom where your at? I'm in Fla, and they have a 5yr deal, unlimited alignments for $150 and its transferable, they have a couple others,b but that's the best one. I don't know if Firestone offers this your way, but they have a $99 lifetime around here, but its not transferable.
