What engine is this?
Looking to buy a 64 F250 with 8 lug wheels and 4 speed w/granny low, don't know Ford engines of Old. It's a v8 with crank recessed into block skirts and wild driver side exhaust crossing under the upper rad hose to join pass manifold. The Intake spider is held down by bolts between the runners with a 1-2 inch spacer to grab the bosses on either side. separate valley pan. Help! Is this motor an oddball that general napa parts (water pump, generator) will be too expensive or hard to find? It Runs right now but I've got a project car and want a Peeekup for towning around

Good solid engine, used in a lot of heavier trucks (F500 - F600s) that a lot of old farmers still have on the road. NAPA and others shouldn't have to much trouble keeping you in parts.
, this engine will NOT get good mileage.
want a Peeekup for towning around

I just have to say why does everyone give the Y block and FE such a bad time for there lack of gas milage no they are not volkswagen Desiels but lets see 1.9 liter move a slick. a Friend of mine has a 2001 gmc with a 6.0 and hey gets around 12mpg hey I get that and spent at least $25000 less
