I don't have a thingy to measure my angle.....Its moved forward, I need to find out what my angle is and give highangle driveline a call. I tried calling him a few times today with no luck.
I emailed stazworks 2 weeks ago for some tire prices, never heard back from them.
I talked to Driveshaft superstores today about driveshafts and highangle. If it was you guys which one would you choose?
Here is my lift question..... I want a total of 6" lift in the rear. Do I order a 6" set of lift springs or 2", considering from the factory the highboy has 4" of lift.
I called 2 places yesterday, not going to name any names, and each place I got a guy on the other end that could hardly speak the language and didn't know what he was talking about. SO I trust you guys!
I'd go highangle. Yea, a cheapo protractor is all that I use. Put me down for a flag afhghan too
I wouldn't trust that they were getting your order right with the springs. Some manufacturs may be taking the blocks into account, others may not. Specifically ask the whichever company you are going with that question so you don't get burned. Typically though, if you order a 6" lift it should be over what you already have. Never assume though...
I hate it when they have guys in customer service that don't speak English well. Hate it so much in fact, that I take my business elsewhere based simply on that.
isn't the highboys extra lift in the springs (this is one I am not sure about as haven't owned one) but if I am thinking right then if you replace the springs the amount of lift on the origanal is gone, so if you want 6in over what you got you are gonna need 10" springs. now in my world if I can I like to have enough lift in the springs that I can remove the factory blocks all together, and still have enough lift, I dont like blocks for lift not even the factory kind, and taking them out will help you as much as putting in traction/ladder bars in most cases.
on edit, and after rereading the previous posts since you are moving the springs forward, and if you are good at fabrication you can rebuild your spring hangers to gain a few inches of lift, and make them stronger too.

Come to think of it ramboss, to save confusion on their end when you call about the springs don't mention the word "highboy". Just tell them you need 6" lift springs for a 75 F250. If they hear "highboy" I have a feeling it will be too much for their feeble minds.
You can go to most hardware stores and such, and buy a magnetic angle finder, it has an arrow inside it that points to the housing, showing you what angle the housing is at. I think it costs like $5-$10. I used it a lot at the weld shop I used to work at.
The rear springs had about a 4" block on the springs. The leaves were only 2 1/2 wide, and the center pin was located different, at least compared to a 2wd. (I found this out the hard way) Highboy is basically a nickname, not an official name, so those poor souls that have to listen to us and figure out what we mean and can't find it on their little computers because they haven't a clue won't know that name.
Umm. . . check your wheel base on the '67 again. A '67 SWB is 113", not 115. I also think (i'm not positive on this one) that the '75 250 is 130", not 133. SO when you move your axle take this into account.
When you move the springs won't it move the axle out of teh arch in the frame? Could have some upward movement issues.

ALL 67-77.5 f-250 4x4's are "highboys"...people call them that because they sit a little high. I really dont know where people get teh "factory 4 inch lift" thing?
if you buy a 4 inch lift for a 75 f-250...its gonna lift it 4 inches in the front, and wutever is needed to level out the back (2-3 inches usually). Just for the record...if you take front springs from a "highboy" and put them in a 77.5-79 f-250 they will lift it 2 inches. the skyjacker 4 inch front lift springs for "highboys" are the same part number as the 6 inch lift springs for 77.5-79 f-250's
