Ok guys I couldn't locate my old thread to update it so I'll create a new one. If you guys remember I was have trouble with the idle on my truck. Well it has been fixed and I'll try to step it out for you guys.

Computer codes 13 (self test fail), 31 (EVR) i dunno how i fixed the code 13, but i did
Timing set to 5 degrees advance instead of 10 (fixed)
changed out botsch platinums with autolite dbl platinums.
changed out 02 sensor, the old one has been in the exhaust for 200k miles.
changed egr valve and evr sensor. too much snot buildup in the valve to clean.
removed and cleaned upper intake plenum and sensors on it. make sure you get those valves and sensors on this guy!!

that appeared to have fixed the idle, now my little 2.9 runs like a lexus. in the future ill pull the upper and lower manifolds off to have them ported to match since its pretty obvious they don't match up well.

what the heck is a plenum? for those of us who refer to barts by thingy jig and whatchacallit...

 

the upper intake manifold can also be called an upper intake plenum.
