Post 1991 Explorer, brake problem

I have just changed the rear brake shoes and had to also change the drums and the emergency brake cables. I have no pedal now, so I changed the master cylinder, and bled the brakes but still have no pedal...........any suggestions what might be the problem??

Sounds like you may need to adjust your rear brake shoes out. They may not be hitting the drums which will cause a soft pedal or no pedal. The adjuster is the little screw device with the star wheel in the middle. There should be an access hole on the back of the mounting plate where you can access it. I usually adjust mine out with the drums off. I adjust them to the point where the drums will slide over them with very little drag. Then I put the wheels back on and start backing up. (Backing up adjusts your drum brakes.) Touch the brakes a few times while backing and then set your parking brake. If you have adjusted the cables correctly, your brakes should hold. If not, the brakes are not adjusting correctly and you need to either adjust the shoes manually or adjust the cables. If the shoes are too far away from the drums, they will never adjust. Good luck...
