It is in the top of the diffrential. It also is used for the RABS and speedo. The psom (programmable speedometer module) changes the signal to a digital input for the pcm to use for shift points,etc. The rabs (rear antilock brake system) uses that same signal too. What problems are you having? I would check all fuses if you are geting no speedo/odometer and harsh shifts.If the fuse for the power point is blown it will create the same results. I have fixed a few that way.

Thanks for the help.
The speedo is suffering from what I like to call, the 'Brother-in-Law' effect....
It only works part time!
When the speedo works I get late/harsh shifts. When it does work the transmission seems to work fine.
