tiny bubbles with zr

I have sprayed a lot of ZR and never had your problem but tiny bubbles are usually an indication of solvent pop. That means solvent vapor is bubbling up through semi-dry paint.
Take a look at the ZR tech info. The 3rd paragraph of the Application section and the 3rd paragraph of the Topcoats section has some information.
