Transmission problem.......
(2004 F350 built 04/04). If I put the truck in park and then to drive there would be quite a long hesitation before engaging into gear (automatic). Putting into reverse is even worse because it will disengage at least once before working properly. I talked to the dealer and they presume it's the selenoid because it could be a 2003 tranny! Searching on here it looks like they are probably correct and it goes in tomarrow. I was pretty ticked
when I phoned my dealer this morning!!!!!! First of all the truck only has 2800 kms and the tranny is screwing around. If Ford knows that there is a problem with the selenoid I think it should've been replaced before the truck was sold. Secondly is there any other selenoids or things that I should have the dealer replace while it's in getting the tranny selenoid done??? PS. I love the truck but I'm a bit p.o.ed that $51,000 CDN, 2800 kms, 3 wks of use and it's already going in for a tranny malfunction!! This is why I bought the '04 since I thought these problems were dealt with. Gives a bit of an uneasy stomach thinking this could be just the start of a long list of headaches!!
2800 kms!!
