Post 3.73 gear

I have just recently purchased a used 3.73 gear off of someone, what is the best way to tell that it is a 3.73 gear for sure? What amount of teeth does the ring and pinion have?

Can someone help, please?

3.73 gear

The ring should have 3.73 times as many teath as the pinion. Just divide your pinion teeth count into your ring teeth count and that is the ratio of your rear-end. For example if your ring has 56 teeth and your pinion has 15 teeth then you have a 3.73. I don't know the actual expected teeth count, this is only an example.
