hey I really enjoy this new truck.
i got roughly 6000 miles on it and i found oil under hood right above turbo.
i'm like wow. what gives?
i really mean it, i like this truck a lot, but it seems very temparamental, i thought this only happend with italian sports CARS. anyway i posted some pics in gallery on this, i'm trying to document everything on this truck
Check your CAC tube, this is the Black tube that goes from the intercooler to the manifold,, Where it joins the manifold elbow they pull back a little and can blow oil out(see my Pic in my gallery) Also check the clamps at the tubes on the turbo as they will leak as well. just tighting them will sometimes fix the problem but removeing them and cleaning the oil off first is best. The other possability is the oil filter cap can be leaking or was never wiped off after a oil change,, Just some possabilities. Mine was leaking from the intercooler tube where it connects to the intercooler. I removed the tube, cleaned the tube, intercooler connection and manifold elbow with Brake cleaner, reassembled and no more leaks,, hope this helps

I hope you don't think that the oil leak is what makes it "temperamental". Is there something else going on with it?
sbv45, not just the oil leak but also the low idle miss that only happens after puttsing around town or in stop and go traffic, and this is only once in the while not all the time, dealer could never duplicate.

the new Flash corrected my low idle miss and surging issue,, Had it done last week and truck has been running great since,,
My buddy at work has this same leak. Oil under the hood and it even sprays the windshield. He's had the filter housing replaced and it's still leaking. About the CAC tube: how can oil blow through this? Shouldn't this just be full of air?

I forget the exact details but there can be a slight amount of oil in the CAC tube. there is some bypass valve of something that will release the oil into the tube. Its only a very small amount but looks like alot when blown over the hood. I'm sure someone else will be able to provide more info to why but there can be oil in there and many people on here have had it blow oil out on the hood including myself. Since I removed the tube, cleaned both ends and reassembled it, I have had no more leaks..

Your crancase vents into the intake infront of the turbo. See the Tech Folder link for Crankcase Ventilation Rerouting. That is a source for oil. Under pressure, it will push oil out where it can. Make sure the oil is not over full.
