Unhappy 1996 ford explorer vin (x)

I have a 96 explorer. It starts and runs fine first star in the morning. But, when it runs for awhile, and is turned off for less then 30 minutes it will not turn over. It will chug, sputter and not start. If I wait 10 - 15 minutes then on the first to third try it will start right up. This is a recurring daily problem. This is a real problem for my girlfriends Mary Kay business.

Now I have had the a dealer diagnostic check and was told to replace three 02 sensors and the catalytic converter. Which has been done and still the same problem.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like it might be running rich. One quick and simple thing you can check is the resistance across the coolant temp sensor. If i remember correctly it should be around 20 ohms with engine cold & about 70 ohms hot. One of the other guys will probably have the numbers. You could also take it to Autozone & see if they can pull any trouble codes
