Side to side sway
Assuming the sway bar links are ok, the easiest way is to upgrade the shocks, and i'm going to start sounding like a Monro stockholder (which i'm not) but again, if most of your driving is hiway or street, not off road, may I suggest Monroe Reflex shocks. They made a hell of a difference on mine, theres a number of posts on ths subject, scan down... good luck.

Side to side sway
I had this problem on my 96 before. The reson being the sway bar links were defective and disconected. I could swing the sway bay up and down. They have a recal for my truck. You should check with Ford to see if your model is affected.
