So about this meeting.....

I read both pages about a chapter meeting and was cross-eyed by the end. It started out by getting a meeting together at the beginning of June. Then it turned into people talking about how ashamed they are of whatever Ford they will be driving (insert disappointed face).

Its now a (patriotic) July 4th and I am not sure if there ever was a meeting. Im not sure of the rules and guidelines in going to a FTE chapter meeting or what is involved but it would be something I would like to attend. Even if not everyone can attend this doesn't have to be a "one time only" meeting.

My thoughts... Figuring most people have a normal 40+ hour work week Mon-Fri starting in the morning maybe an evening weekday or preferable weekend would be the way to go. Plus it hot during the day. A big, well-lit parking lot would be ideal because this after-all is a car club and the parking lot is where the cars (trucks) will be. While I do enjoy a nice big meal, I think a low-cost eatery that can accommodate a number of people is best. Lastly is a place with some sort of small activity like the car show idea at the Pavilions (good idea TheImpaler). That is my input now it someone's turn to name a date and time. -Mike

well, due to the fact that I dont live in Phoenix, I cant name a particular place to go. I live in Chino Valley, so in order to get a location set up, I will need some help with the locations in phoenix. As of yet there has been no meeting, and I take full responsibility for draggin my feet. I have been pulling down 60+ hours a week and cannot pull away for anything. I dont care what people drive to said meet and greet because its mostly for meeting and greeting. as for eligability, if you like ford trucks and live in Arizona, then come on down. thank you for your input and support, if you can lend a hand in choosing a location, then hook me up with directions. you can email me through this site(click on my user name).

Holy smokes Chino Valley!?! I was dreading driving to Phoenix from the Queen Creek/Gilbert area. That doesn't make anything better for you though, sorry. heh

For people that want to attend the meeting that are in the same predicament as you I would suggest have one other reason besides just a meeting to come. By this I mean an up coming truck show or auto show of some sort. How long can a meeting last really? I personally would hate to have more time invested into driving then the meeting. This goes with about anything for me.

We can all have a place and time to meet beforehand, in the parking lot of the show or just up the street somewhere for a bite. We can meet, greet, bring up ideas/events, etc., then go to the show. At a show we might even find a few fellow Ford truck owners that are unaware of FTE.

Right now I don't know of any upcoming shows. As I said before there is the Pavilions every Saturday which is the 101 and Ventura De (something). I would even be willing to drive to Prescott, Flag, Sadona, Payson, or a few other towns for a good car show. I make time for good car shows, its what auto enthusiast do.

All of that is my opinion, its not how everything has to happen. I will go with whatever most people want to do. So lets get some ideas rolling FTE people!!
