I like working on vehicles but usually i end up messing up more than i fix...atleast the first time. Well, I was just changing my rear bearings in my truck n putting in a axle repair bearing on one side n for some dumb reason i let the pinion shaft slide all the way out then i turned the wheels n next thing i know ..i think they r called spider gears ...just kinda fell out. Now this lil book i have says nothing about that part of my truck. I need to know what all i have to do to put them back in. Any help would be much apreciated.
They're called pinion gears. I have a Ford manual on cd. It has a good bit of stuff i'm going to go by. I just don't know if i need to take the whole case out or what ..on the cd it doesn't really say anything about just the pinion gears it tells how u take them out n put them back in but its in the section with taking the whole thing out and apart.
