There are 2" blocks (actually measure a little less) standard on F250's and and what people are calling 4" blocks (actually a little less when measured) that are standard on F350's. They come in tapered and non-tapered, depending on the wheelbase of the vehicle, to keep the drive components in correct alignment.
I had the same problem with FMC's parts lists when I bought my 4" blocks. The F250 and F350 show the same part number in the parts lists even though the vehicles have different thickness blocks. Parts guy didn't believe it until we crawled under new trucks on the lot.
