Im new to this board and new to owning a Ford. I just traded n my 02 subaru WRX or a 04 F-250 PSD. I had a few gaugs installed i my WRX and I would like to use them on my PSD. I have a boost gauge that reads to 20 psi. I was wondering if this will work untll I get the money for a higher psi boost gauge. Thanks - Mike

Mine I've seen a high of 35 PSI. Pull out to pass and you will see 28 PSI and more.
Ford just done a boost test on mine, it was 28 psi, they say normal is 23-25 psi. Last time I pulled my camper it blew the turbo hose off 4 time before I got it to garage, they told me the hose was on backwards as it had been off when new turbo was put on about a month ago, does anyone know of these hoses going on one way only, didn't have anymore problems and finished vacation of about 500 miles. Going on another trip this Tuesday will see if it still hold up, about 600 miles....
XD - those two numbers you got were from guys with "tuned" trucks....
Both the Edge and the Predator will give you higher than stock boost levels....
(that's part of the formula for them making the truck so FAST !)
My truck stock tops out at about 24 lbs. With the SC tuner installed it will build more boost, 29 in the Econo (mid level) tune, and about 35 in the Hi Perf tune.
I dont know what it got before the intake because I installed both that and gauges at the same time.
mine went up about 4-5psi when i put on the summit air cleaner.... i dont think the stock cleaner is as efficient as people say it is.... if u put it to ur face and blow, it sure seems restrictive
You could get as much as 5 psi of fluctuation when measuring boost either pre or post of the aftercooler. Air measured after the aftercooler is at a lower PSI because it is cooler and more dense. That will also give you a more accurate pressure reading of the pressure actually in the manifold.
This is just so strange and so very new to me. With my subaru its was almost unheard if to hit 22 psi at sea level. Im just blown away and very imperssed with this truck. My sister (who owns a subaru WRX) and I raced last night and I was very happy to know that I could keep up with her. I love the power that this truck has.

psd 6.0l fx4 is gettin a twin turbo motor that will make over 120psi.... and there are many diesel pullin tractors that push over 300psi
