Anyone using Hooker headers on a 79 4X4?

I recently purchased these to replace my rusting dynomax headers and they wont fit. I have clearance issues with the front driveshaft and my deep trans pan. I have a 400 engine. Has anyone else had these problems? I checked them, they are stamped with the right part numbers. I wanted to use these headers with Hooker's exhaust system (meant to fit with the headers), for more ground clearance. I previously had a custom (crappy job) bent set of pipe hooked to the dynomax headers. If this deosn't work out does anyone know of a company that makes headers with matching piping to fit a 79 F150 4X4 short bed with 400 engine.

I have a 1978 F-150 short bed with a 400, I used headman fenderwell headers. They go in there great and it keeps the inside of the frame open. The exoust goes on a lot easier also and there will be a lot less bends in the pipes. Summit sells the headers they were about 170 bucks. Good luck.

Nevermind I found them, summit deosn't put that they are fenderwell headers in the title description. Do you have any tire rub problems. I am going for some serious suspension with 38" or larger tires, I already have 35". It looks like they might have clearance issues with the tires. Otherwise fenderwell headers sounds like a good idea. Why didn't I think about it in the first place?

I have 33-12.50-15 tires, on 10 inch wide rims. They are pretty close to the headers when turned all the way but they don't rub.
