scratches
Last week while my family and I were doing the Disney thing in Florida, one of the neighborhood kids took "sidewalk chalk" and scratched my truck pretty good. It is only in the clearcoat, not through the paint. Anyone got any ideas on getting the scratches out? Will a clay bar do the trick? Anyone familiar with Zaino's? Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Try using Meguiar's Colour X. Scratch X is not as "powerful" but not bad working. If it is not bad at all, use Meguiar's Deep Crystal paint cleaner or Meguiar's #9 (Swirl Mark Remover). The clay bar will NOT take out scratches (it takes off contaminates from the paint/clear coat). Post some pic's

I'll get some pics on here as soon as I figure out how and have the time. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I have since filed a report with the police, the juvenile prosecutor, and am taking the mother to small claims court. Looks like I'll be gathering estimates to have it done professionally this week. Thanks again for the info. This site is AWESOME!

I get my products from ARDEX..........We use two different cuts of buffing compound............The Pink and the Tan Diamond cuts. If used with a buffer they work at their best strength as far as removing scratches...............But hand application with a little bit of elbow grease will work well also. After application of any of these compounds buff with a dry soft clean rag and then re-wax with a good quality wax..............................
