Summer's just around the bend and it'll be high time for a good ole fashioned Washington FTE get-together. You know you want to. You know you can't resist. The previous post is reaching a dead-end, and not many of us are in contact, so it's time to refresh the topic. Email me at the_royce(No Email Addresses In Posts!) or heck, just let us know you're in right on this page. We'd like to get a BBQ going with perhaps some time on the trails or in the old shootin' quarry. A chili cook-off has already been suggested by Mike, and I think that'd be a great idea. Maybe we could spend a day at the lake. Fast 4x4 has suggested Saturday, June 22nd as a possible date. He is also taking down a list of names of all who're interested. Anyway, lets get this show rollin'!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Apr-02 AT 05:08 PM (EST)]I will be there with bells on! I was wondering if there was any kind of ford truck club here! I'll bring my '72 F-100 with the 428, it should be almost done by then. I've got a friend who drives a pristine '65 T-bird with a 390, and another friend who's got an almost perfect '67 lincoln continental with the 462, are they welcome too? Where is this all going to happen?
Oh I just had the best idea where to have it! Anybody familier with Triple X in Issaquah? It's a burger place with an automotive them and a perfect parking lot for a meet. I would be willing to do some legwork to reserve part of the parking lot if you guys would like to have it there. How many vehicles would we be looking at having?
While I havn't been to the Triple X in Issaquah in years, I cruise past all the time. Issaquah is a very nice area and I wouldn't be opposed to a meet there.
As to your buddies with the cars, while this is a Ford Truck meet, I certainly would not be opposed to them coming. I'm sure I'm not the only one fascinated with cars in general. Trucks are cooler, but I have no problem going out of my way to see an older car too. So hey, unless anybody else says otherwise, what the heck, bring 'em along.

BTW John, what area of Seattle are you in? Do you actually live in the city, or in the suburban/rural eastside like me?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-Apr-02 AT 02:57 PM (EST)]I used to live in Ballard, but currently I reside in Shoreline. I feel obligated to say that becase Ballard is the best town in town and Shoreline is satan's ********* Yeah, I know this is a truck meet and I am a truck man all the way. But, both those cars are just immaculate and would definetly add class to the whole occasion. I wouln't have even mentioned it otherwise. So, how many people are we looking at for this shindig?
XXX is a little differant now, they made it more of an automotive theme resturant, which I guess is good for us. The essence is still there though.

I work 5 miles east of there,
we have a 450 space parking lot.
You could use that to meet also...

hey,
think um......maybe....we could have it a little closer to the pass, eh? I mean, Issaquah is quite some ways from Ephrata , not to be a wet blanket or anything.

Well let's figure out who's coming and where they're coming from, and then pick a location that's equally (in)convienient for everyone. Issaquah's a long ways from me to buddy
Well folks I created a map that shows where we all live. I've probably left somebody out, but let me know.
Upon further review, it seems I lack the know-how to add in the image. If one of y'all could tell me how to go about putting up my map, that'd be great. I all else fails, I could e-mail it to one of you who knows how to do it better than I.
