In my home town i am now descovering many more 67' series trucks, well on one of the trucks,i believe its a 68',well i couldnt get close enough to read wut it said but,the badge looked stock and it was right behind the"ford f-100" logo on the hood, the truck is two wheel drive, with a four on the floor, i have no clue what it says,
Is there a list of what that badge could say and what is so important that ford did this?
yes ir i havelooked and there is nothing, the truck is in great shape, all original, its not for sale but i have some money,u never know,on tuesday ill look at the truck again but i would like to know what the extra badges are and wut they mean
Oh my gosh!
The "alleleven mapleton" badge was created for a TV show from the late sixties called "Mapleton PD". It was only on for a year, and I can't think of a single actor from the show. It attempted to cash in on the success of The Andy Griffith Show--a comedy based on the police department of a small town. There was a character that ran a construction company named Alleleven Mapleton Construction because he had ten sons and they all worked for the family business. In one episode he had "alleleven mapleton" badges put on his trucks, and there was some mixup with the sheriff because he was supposed to have his trucks marked with the full name and phone number of the company, but all he had were these badges.
I can only imagine that the guy has one of the trucks the TV production company used for the show. It's probably not worth much more than any other truck, because the show was a flop, but it's interesting that it was used on a show.
