1993 Explorer XLT
I need to R & R the heater Box because of faulty blend door. Ford does not make a new blend door anymore. The box needs replacement but I talked to parts department at 2 ford dealers and the box is no longer available from Ford. The parts departments recommended I find one at a junk yard but if that is the case one said I could maybe just repair the existing blend door. He said he was succesful in helping a couple of his friends with repairing theirs. If I can't repair the blend door then I will have to dig through the bone yards for a good heater box with a good blend door. I need to find the procedure instructions for this. I looked at the local parts stores for the 93 Ford Explorer and no one has it but will order it for an extra fee as long as I paid for it in full prior to order of it. Is this information available here online somewhere? I searched but came up with very little pertaining to my needs in this forum. TIA for any and all help.
