Brake caliper upgrade
hi all,
i have a 77 f250 4x4 and a 78 250 4x4, and i want to upgrade the front brakes. does anyone know of any kits to put new calipers bigger rotors and all that stuff? or will i have to custom build something? if i do, is there anything close to my application that would make things go easyer? like a newer 8 lug f series kit? if i do have to custom build a kit, what parts will i need? the main reason for wanting to do this, is that the calipers are very heavy and seem to be insufficient. as well as the impossible to find support bracket that spreads apart over time causing the caliper to fall off. so any help will be great.

cant say as i have ever seen the caliper support spread, but there are lots of things i aint seen yet.
i am sure somebody makes a big brake kit for the 8 lug ford, but if you want a serious up grade get the front and rear axels out of a 95/97 deisel f350.
everything just barely clears the 16 in wheels, and talk about indestructable!
