Fuel Problem Accord???

I have a 1991 Honda accord 2.2 Fi, I know it ain't a ford but, I still need an answer to this problem. Sometimes it starts and sometimes just every once in awhile it will not. Cranks good always. I figured it is a fuel pump or fuel filter problem- Can anyone tell me if I am in the right ballfield in this troubleshooting (This is my only non - FORD vehicle) !~!!

I sold one (87) that had an intermitent fuel pump problem.

Apparently it is a well known problem.

check the fuel pump, also the older hondas had problems with the ign switch not making contact to some pins on the harness and not turning on the pump, when you turn the key you should be able to hear the pump run with a partner under the cars tank listening. Do that to be sure it is running, also a filter change may not hurt...try that and last resort swap the pump out
