where can I get a pressure regulator with gauge that is fairly small? I work at an auto parts store and all of ours are too big. I saw cat man diesel's truck pics, his regulator is perfect.
you can get a boost control vavle that is made to fit the map line of the 7.3 and control the overboost/defuel problems of a modified engine www.dieselinnovations.com
it does not have a gauge on it, but unless you are riding under the hood you will not be able to see the gauge anyhow
Hey Bigpowerstroke - I got mine at a local hardware store for about $10 - I think the one from DI is more than that. And no you can't see the gauge under the hood - but it is useful for setting up the pressure that it lets the MAP sensor see. I used my air compressor, set down to 40psi, to set the adjustable regulator.

Hey Cat man, Why did you set the regulator at 40psi? Will that make it bleed off at 22-24 psi?
he set the regularor on his air compresser at 40 psi, then hooked up the compresser line to the regulator that was to go under the hood and set that to i would guess 24 psi or just under...at least that was what i thought he ment.
catman963 i have a question, i have been doing some research on building a controller like yours, i found a company that sells a 0-30 psi gauge so i can get the regulator set right at 24 psi, however all the reulators i have found(in the 20-25 dollar range) say they have a max operating temp of 80* i am guessing it gets alot hotter than that under the hood and would affect the accuracy of the regulator?
