expedition shift indicator

shift indicator off n is reverse d is nutreal 2 is drive how do i adjustit is off you have to have it go on place to the left

The indicator is attached to the shift lever by a guide wire. You have to take the cluster out to adjust the indicator.

The adjustment for the indicator is under the dash. More than likely the little plastic holder for the adjuster has broken. You can replace the holder or put the adjuster through the part that remains and adjust it to read properly. You can get at it by removing the panel in fron of your knees. You don't need to remove the cluster.
