Ford admitting rear end problem ?
I took my STX in yesterday to have oil and tire rotate done. While it was there, I was to have the rear end shudder checked out. They were going to put an additive in. But when I got there, they told me that Ford had sent a letter out about the problem. They told me they were going to order a new clutch pack for the ls rear end. They never questioned me just said to bring it back when parts arive. I'm glad to see Ford take charge and fix the small problems and not blow it off as "normal" noise. 
All and all, no other problem with this truck. Mpg is pushing 17.5-18.0 (4x4 scab 4.6l), I love this truck more every day. Knowledge is power. The more I learn here at FTE, the more I'm prepaired.

They just replaced my rear clutch pack last week, Havent felt anything since. But before they did that, they lubed my lear leaf springs because they said that was causing the shudder (LOL). I laughed at them and told them I wasnt even gonna get back into my truck, I didnt even start it up, I simply told them that was not the problem and to look harder and open up the rear diff. They did and said I needed a new clutch pack.
