Question factory DVD question

I cant for the life of me find an owners booklet on the factory DVD player. I know I can control the fast forward (ff) and reverse, and even the scan function seems to jump DVD's forward to the next segment. I'm wondering if there is a way to select menu options and other functions from the drivers cab without having to stop and get in the back to do so. I have little kids (both under 2) that cant operate it and I hate having to go through the "coming soon to a theater near you" previews, but dont know how to operate it from the cab (except ff like I said). Any help?

What about the remote control ?

I don't think you can operate it from up front, but you can operate the radio and cd from the back.
