First of all what size speakers you putting in? Same size as factory? If so they are simple to hook up remove the screws off the old speakers and install the new speakers to the harness.
They are 5x7 size and you have to remove the door panels and the speakers are right behind the panels, unscrew the speaker from the door and the panels come off with the speaker.... any more ?'s let me know!
Never done the rear speakers on a Explorer Sport but the front door panels are easy to come off i bought a DOOR PANEL remover tool at Pep Boys for $9.00 and it prys the clips off the door and removing the locks/window switches is easy by removing it from the panel one panel is off the door, once all removed you will have plenty of room to work on the speakers! Hope this helps and good luck mike!
Unless the mounting screws in the floor are rusty you should be able to remove the rear interior panels in about an hour or so.
You'll need a T57 Torx socket for the seatbelt bolts.
It's a pain, but if you plan your attack before you jump into it you'll be OK.
It's a little difficult to get to a couple of the screws near the back seat but take your time on one side and the other will take half as long.
Just don't force anything!
